Forged cable lugs, punched cable lugs, and tubular cable lugs
When it comes to automotive applications, we produce tailored solutions for our customers in the areas of forged cable lugs, punched cable lugs and tubular cable lugs. To meet the relevant customer requirements, Intercable offers a number of production methods.
Forged cable lugs are the ideal solution for customers who need good mechanical stability, excellent thermal resistance and angled geometry. Additional features such as jump-start points can be easily added through forging.
Punched cable lugs are produced at Intercable according to the strict standards which apply within the automotive industry. This applies, for example, to the use of highly conductive copper ferrous alloys, but also to integration of flexible crimp wing designs
Our Intercable tubular cable lugs are the right choice for customers who need good mechanical strength and tailored design options within specific installation spaces. With highly conductive copper as a base material and applied tin, nickel or silver finishes according to customer requirements, our tubular cable lugs provide excellent electrical conductivity, as well as good anti-corrosion properties. The corresponding tubular cable lug versions can also be used to terminate aluminium cables.
As a basis for cable isolators, terminal for fuse boxes and smart battery sensors
The battery clamps we produce either based on punching or forging technology, are developed to provide a direct connection to the battery and cable harness. Our battery clamps can also be given a wide variety of attributes: We have a huge range of options on request, from additional features such as jump-start points, power distributors or pyrotechnic isolators, through to a variety of geometric designs. Our in-house quality lab also guarantees consistent product quality, even with large production volumes
In electromobility, electric vehicles run on extremely high-power battery systems.
A key component of this is the busbar. Intercable produces these according to customer requirements with the relevant characteristics.
As always, we cover the entire process: Tool, samples, pre-series, series production, but also small production runs
Customised fuse boxes/power distributors for international customers
Intercable develops fuse boxes and power distributors according to customer requirements. The product design is based on a simulation of electrical and mechanical requirements. Additional functions such as jump-start points are just some of the special features of our fuse boxes. Thanks to our agile production methods, we are able to meet special customer requirements of any size on our assembly machines. Our product durability is proven through validation in our internal lab.
